Wer ist 'GRINSEN' / who is 'GRINSEN'

Hallo, mein Name ist Sandra und ich möchte Euch meinen Papa und sein Team vorstellen:		Hello, my name is Sandra and I want to introduce my dad and his team to you:
Das also ist mein Papa. Er hat mit der ganzen Geschichte angefangen. Seit 1976 sammelt mein Papa die Wiking-Modelle und hat schon eine riesige Menge zusammengetragen.		So this my dad. He startet the whole story. Since 1976 my dad collects these Wiking-models and he has already a huge amount brought in.
Hier bin ich nochmal. Ich finde die Autos nämlich auch prima - und immer wenn ich ganz lieb war, darf ich auch damit spielen. Ich gehöre auch zum Team - ich sorge für Chaos!		Here I am again. Just because I like these cars too - and everytime I behaved very-well, I am alowed to play with some of them. I belong to the team as well - I create the confusion!
Und hier ist Mama. Sie macht die meiste Arbeit im Hintergrund. Immer wenn ich Mittagsschlaf halte, sucht sie die Modelle aus Katalogen heraus und schreibt die Preis-Etiketten für die Börsen.		And here is mum. She does most of the back-stage work. Everytime I have a little after-dinner nap, she looks up the models in catalogues and writes the labels for the next exhibition.
Das ist Jens, er ist unser Freund. Er ist bei allen Aktionen dabei und macht mit Papa zusammen die Börsen. Wenn Papa mal wieder eine Sammlung aufgekauft hat, hilft Jens immer kraeftig mit beim Sortieren.		This is Jens, he is our friend. He takes part in all activities and together with daddy he goes to all exhibitions. Everytime papa bought a new collection, Jens bravely helps to sort it.
Das hier ist Frank, er ist ein toller Freund mit prima Humor. Frank wohnt in Baunatal, das ist neben Kassel (hat Papa mir erkärt), aber das ist mir egal. Ich freue mich immer auf Frank, bei ihm gibt's nämlich ganz oft Nudeln (kocht seine Freundin)... hmmm lecker.		This is Frank, he is a very good friend with a good sense of humor. Frank lives in Baunatal, that is next to Kassel (dad told me), but I don't care about that. I am always looking forward to meet Frank, because at him we very often have noodles (his girlfriend makes them)...hmmm yummy.
Dieser nette Typ heißt Jörg. Jörg kommt aus Stendal und hilft Papa und Jens sooft er Zeit hat. Er sammelt Modelle amerikanischer Autos und Papa und Jens finden immer ein paar für ihn.		This nice guy is called Jörg. Jörg comes from Stendal and he helps dad and Jens as often as he has time. He collects models of american cars and dad and Jens always find some new ones for him.
Und dann ist da noch Wolfgang, den mag ich besonders gerne. Wolfgang wohnt zwar weit weg in Oldenburg, aber immer wenn er bei uns zu Besuch ist (oder wir bei ihm), gibt es extra viele Frühstücks-Eier. Von hier starten Papa und Jens zu den Ausstellungen im Norden von Deutschland.		And then there is Wolfgang, he is my favourite. Wolfgang lives far away in Oldenburg, but every time he is in for a visit (or we at his place), we have an extra big number of breakfast-eggs. From his place dad and Jens start to the exhibitions in northern germany.
Wißt Ihr jetzt, wieso das 'grinsen' heißt? Nicht ?!? Also, 'grinsen' steht für: G anz R iesiges I nternational N utzbares S ammlerspezifisches E lektonisches N achschlagewerk.		Do you know now, why it is called 'grinsen'? No ?!? Well, 'grinsen' stands for: (sorry, I can't translate with fitting first letters) very huge international useable collectors-specific electronic encyclopedia
Nee - natürlich nicht! Grinsen heißt ein wenig lachen. Und das sollte man beim Hobby doch immer oder? Tschüss, Eure Sandra		No - of course not! Grinsen is the german word for smile. And concerning hobby, this is what one should do all the time isn't it? bye-bye, yours Sandra
